She also practices with those in grief, and experiencing stressful events that lead to mental health disorders such as anxiety, depressive and mood disorders, suicidal ideation, and self-injurious behaviors. She has experience in outpatient treatment and inpatient crisis stabilization and has worked as a clinical manager for a psychiatric hospital. As a mental health coach and consultant, she is a champion for Mental Health Awareness & Trauma Informed Care (TIC) providing training and workshops to reduce the stigma tied to receiving mental health services; helping people of all ages be more trauma informed.

Demetria’s goal is to create safe and unbiased spaces filled with compassion that empowers people to take flight in life! She desires to help her clients redefine their behaviors by empowering them to take charge of their life story, therefore redefining their LIFE. She is EMDRIA trained in Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) an evidenced based holistic approach to treating PTSD and a myriad of stressful events that can cause trauma. One of her favorite quotes is by Sha Rukh Khan, "Healing doesn't mean the damage never existed. It means the damage no longer controls your life." May you find the power in your choice to heal and TAKE FLIGHT!
